Beat Writer Round-Up July 30th

Daily round-up of NFL training camp news from the beat on July 30th...

Aaron Rodgers with a ton of rust early on in Packers camp... on the flip side boosting the confidence of a young secondary that needs to be much better than the 2017 unit for the Packers to survive a very tough NFC North.

Injuries piling up in Denver early in camp, Broncos saw key Left Tackle Garett Bolles leave on a cart as well so far today, may be conconssion related.

We finally get to see Sam Darnold compete for the starting job in New York after locking up $30M in guaranteed money, bigger question though is who is he throwing the ball to?

Seemingly no stop to the positive news coming out of Raiders camp, with the exception of the Mack holdout... young impact players on Defense could immediately swing the fortunes of this team and the Jordy Nelson heist is a story that has legs.

On the flipside... nothing but negative news coming out of Panthers camp, Carolina has now lost pieces in areas they were already thin to begin with at O-Line and the defensive backfield.

Glover is the most underrated defender in the league, can’t even think of a close second... the world is sleeping on the Lions and there may be value backing them ATS early in the season as small dogs Weeks 2 thru 5.

Lastly, one of the most important holdouts that no one is talking about... Jalen Ramsey is the key to the Jags defensive success and with a potential matchup vs OBJ in Week 1, let's hope they get this resolves sooner than later.
